What is Rozerem?

Rozerem is the first non controlled sleep medication for insomnia Rozerem is the only prescription sleep medication that has shown no evidence of abuse & dependence. There currently is no generic Rozerem™ available. With the exception of Rozerem™, all other prescription medications indicated for insomnia are classified as Schedule IV controlled substances by the DEA. Additionally, Rozerem™ is the first prescription insomnia medication with a new therapeutic mechanism of action in 35 years. Rozerem may cause a severe allergic reaction. Stop taking Rozerem and get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
How To Take Rozerem?
Take this medication exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not take the medication in larger amounts, or take it for longer than recommended by your doctor. Follow the directions on your prescription label. Take Rozerem only if you are able to get a full night’s sleep before you must be active again. Never take this medication during your normal waking hours, unless you have a full 7 to 8 to dedicate to sleeping.
Rozerem Side Effects
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medicine include drowsiness, nausea, fatigue, dizziness, or diarrhea. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience muscle pain, joint pain, headache, mood or mental changes, tiredness, muscle aches, fever, hallucinations, decreased sex drive, unexplained breast milk production.

Safety Information

Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome. RozeremT is available as round, pale orange-yellow, film-coated, 8 mg tablets, with “TAK” and “RAM-8″ printed on one side. Don’t take Rozerem if you’re taking LUVOX® (fluvoxamine) or have severe liver problems. Avoid taking it with alcohol. Don’t drive or operate machinery until you know how you’ll react to Rozerem. Rozerem may affect testosterone and prolactin. Consult your doctor if you have concerns about a change in your period, libido, fertility, or if your insomnia doesn’t improve. Take Rozerem right before bed. Side effects may include drowsiness, fatigue, and dizziness.
